Flow Assurance: Advances in Simulation Models

Thursday, 9 May

Technical / Poster Session
This session covers advances in simulation models and management strategies for various applications related to flow assurance: deposition kinetic prediction of barium sulfate deposition in pipelines, wax deposition in both insulated and uninsulated flowlines, safe depressurization of high volume/high pressure gas storage/injection, and liquid loading in complex deepwater field with subsea long tie-back. The authors will discuss models related to production/injection cycles with high CO2 content, wax deposition and non-Newtonian fluid modeling in flowlines, and simulation of high-pressure gas storage.
