Navigating the Next Wave: U.S. LNG Expansion, Floating Innovations & Market Resilience
Thursday, 7 May
Room 206
Keynote Speaker Series
As global LNG supply surges with a projected 7% expansion marking the largest annual increase since 2019, the United States is poised to retain its lead in global LNG exports, reaching to 16.4Bcf/d in 2026. This session explores how the U.S. can harness floating LNG infrastructure and agile strategies to supplement this growth driven by major LNG projects in the Gulf Coast.
In this session, Javid Talib will:
- Illuminate the role of Offshore and Floating LNG (FLNG) in overcoming onshore constraints and accelerating export capacity
- Discuss market resilience amid capacity reduction and price fluctuations and possible global resourcing shift following recent Persian Gulf Conflict.
- Examine strategic project deployment scenarios, including how the timing of FIDs and startup delays impacts U.S. export position
- Offer insight into the innovation imperative—modular offshore infrastructure, evolving financing models, and decarbonization pathways shaping LNG's future.?
Attendees will leave with a comprehensive understanding of how floating infrastructure, operational agility, and strategic planning can position the U.S. as a resilient LNG leader during a critical growth phase.
