Strength in Collaboration: How GTA Delivered a First-of-Its-Kind LNG Development

Thursday, 7 May
Room 306
Panel
The Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project is an innovative offshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) development operated by bp, which is the first bp project to be sanctioned and approved for development in the region, alongside its partners (Kosmos, PETROSEN and SMH) and the governments of Mauritania and Senegal. In April 2025, bp safely exported the first cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the project. This panel explores the unique challenges of developing a mega project in a frontier basin and highlights how collaborative strength was essential to successful project delivery.
