United Against Human Trafficking

The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is proud to continue its long-standing partnership with United Against Human Trafficking (UAHT) to raise  awareness and take action against human trafficking in Houston and beyond.

Each year at OTC, UAHT hosts an on-site education booth inside the NRG Center, offering resources and engagement opportunities for attendees.

OTC actively promotes UAHT’s mission through staff and exhibitor communications and awareness initiatives before and during the event.

This Work is Strengthened by OTC’s Collaboration With its Venue and City Partners:

NRG Park, home of OTC, is a designated No Trafficking Zone, where staff receive specialized training to recognize and report signs of trafficking—creating a safer space for all attendees.

  • Houston First, the city’s hospitality organization, supports regional anti-trafficking efforts through public education, corporate partnerships, and survivor support initiatives—reinforcing the broader community commitment that aligns with OTC’s values.

Together, these partnerships reflect OTC’s ongoing dedication to safety, advocacy, and meaningful impact within the local community.

Human Trafficking

Human trafficking happens every day in our own communities. This crime continues to grow in the shadows of our society, and is one of the largest criminal industries in the world.

Victims of human trafficking are subjected to force, fraud, or coercion, for the purpose of sexual exploitation and/or forced labor.
