Significant advances are being made in mooring system design, including failure detection and repair. These advances are driven by work for both hydrocarbon and renewables projects. The session includes topics related to, failure detection, chain replacement, decommissioning, and the performance of mooring systems for floating offshore wind turbines. This session will showcase these advances and provide an opportunity to re-evaluate best practices in mooring system design.
